Two SCAD-Atlanta Graduates Present Senior Projects at New York City Showcase
Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) Atlanta graduates Gibron Shepperd for Fashion (SCAD Atlanta) and YooHyeon Kim for Fashion (SCAD Atlanta) were selected to showcase their senior thesis/collections to the industry, talent acquisition/HR, editors and influencers at the CFDA Fashion Future Graduate Showcase held in New York City on June 17 and 18.
The students were afforded an opportunity to connect participants within Apparel, Accessories, Jewelry, Textiles/Materials, and Technical Design to professional opportunities and contacts.
Four additional students from SCAD-Savannah were also selected including Valentina Angulo Gomez for Jewelry (SCAD Savannah), Emmy Davidian for Accessories (SCAD Savannah), Chesta Maheshwari for Fibers (SCAD Savannah), Dyllan Khawam for Fashion (SCAD Savannah).
The Council of Fashion Designers of America, Inc, (CFDA) is one of the most prestigious not-for-profit trade associations in the industry. Membership consists of more than 500 hundred of America’s top women’s wear, men’s wear, jewelry and accessories designers. Additionally, the CFDA awards various scholarships each year to the most talented design students, an honor bestowed on SCAD students in years past. Their mission is “to strengthen the impact of American fashion in the global economy.”
